I personally think that it is a great idea. However i am now out of high school so it does not apply to me . If I were still in school i would be all for the idea because that would mean a 3day weekend. The ionly way that it would impact me now is if my girlfriend got to see me more, but with her step dad being the way he is it wouldnt work.It sounds like a good idea though.

i think a 4 day week would be alright. Even though it would make days longer. I think that lots of high school students would like it for a while and then they would hate it. I know that as a parent that i wouldn't like my son being at school late but i would like him to have a longer weekend.Tiffany P

i think a four day school week would be a great idea if it saves money. That way we could put that money towards other many needed things for our schools, or raise teachers pay.As long as the students get as good of an education i don't see a big deal.Shawna

I feel that a four day would not br a good idea because one reason is that latch key kids would get hurt. Especially, if they lived in a town or neighbor hood were there was people who prayed on little kids, and with no parent around who is to say what might happen!!

i think that a four day school week would be good. Probaly not education wise but for the kids.I also think that if they shorten the week then school could or possibly become year arond just to get everything done.

A four day week is definitly a bad idea. students these days need more education in their lives to maintain and accomplish postive things. Not only will a four day weekend unbalance the traditional system but will also give students entirely too much freetime on their hands. Too much freetime will equal to increase in violence, teen pregnacy and much more.

I personally think that it is not a good idea because each class time will have to be longer and that means teacher will have to teach the students more in a certain amount of time. I feel that some students will struggle with the new learning method and it will not benefit the students.

A four day week would be a change for all of us that has always went to school for five. People will love and hate the idea because in the end it will be school and no one can tell what other peoples response will be.

I believe that a four day week would be great for students. I believe this because I was just in high school last year and I know ow much it sucks to have to go to school on Fridays. I also believe that it would make student want to do their work when it is to be done. SO they could have more free time on their long weekend. Brandy S

I think the whole four day weekend would have been a good thing when I was in highschool but now I really wouldn't think about it. I feel that it has ups and downs. The ups would be you get more time for your weekend but the downside is making your days much longer. When I think about that it can get pretty stressful.

Elizabeth H,
I agree and thought the same thing. I feel that having longer classes would make students not care to come to class and get they would get burnt out.

Travis,
I think since it does not apply to you that it's harder to picture it and you really wouldn't think about it.

I think that having a four day education would be disasterses and would come out to the good. I am not in high school, but I do have a child that will be there one day and I think that it will hurt him. When you cut days in school it will also cut the education process. The U.S. is already below normal for the educational level. Foreign countrys are well ahead in the educational feild. Plus when the child is out for so many days they tend to put everything they have learned out of there mind. I think the economy is in poor shape, but we as americans can get around situations such as these without hurting our youth.

The only good thing that could come from this is that we would save gas money and reduce lay offs. They need to try to figure out other ways though.

i dont think i would like a four day week beacsue it would be such long days and i would not be used to it but i dont think it would make a bit of difference bc you will still be in school the same amount of hours so i dont see how it could be better or worst to have a four day week so i wouldnt really matter to me but it may cause some inconvience for parents too.

I don't think it would really matter about a four day week because is just as if you where going to school five days. The reason is the kids are still going to be in school 8-9 hours a day, and then the one day they are home the parents would sit and worry about the child being ok! Alison

A three day weekend would be great because you could have more time to study. If you play sport it is hard to study after practicing all afternoon. Benjamin I.
